The President of the Russian Wrestling Federation (FSBR), **[Mikhail Mamiashvili](https://www.example.com/mihail-mamiashvili)**, stated that there is still a chance for two-time Olympic champion Abdulrashid Sadulaev to participate in the World Championship in Zagreb. Earlier, the press service of the United World Wrestling organization confirmed that Sadulaev would miss the tournament.

The World Championship in Zagreb is scheduled to take place from September 13 to 21.

Abdulrashid Sadulaev was included in the list of wrestlers authorized by United World Wrestling to compete. However, the athlete was unable to obtain a Schengen visa in time for entry into the host country of the tournament. In the 97 kg weight category, he will be replaced by Magomed Kurbanov, the silver medalist of the 2021 World Championship.

Sadulaev is the reigning world champion in the 92 kg weight class, having defeated the Olympic champion from 2020, American David Taylor, with a score of 7-0 in the final match.
