The “Traktor” team was close to trading forward **Andrei Nikонов** to Minsk’s “Dynamo,” but the deal fell through at the last moment. The parties were unable to finalize the necessary paperwork before the KHL trade deadline, which ended on January 25.
“Due to circumstances beyond our control, the trade of Andrei Nikonov from Chelyabinsk’s Traktor did not happen,” stated a message from the hockey agency Winners on their Telegram channel.
In the current season, the 23-year-old Nikonov played 41 games for “Traktor,” scoring eight points with five goals and three assists. Throughout his career in the Continental Hockey League, the forward has accumulated a total of 25 points (13 goals and 12 assists) over 194 games.
