The head coach of Salavat Yulaev, **[Viktor Kozlov](https://www.example.com/2286-viktor-kozlov/)**, commented on the victory against Neftekhimik (2:1) and discussed how the break impacted the performance of the Ufa team.
– It was an important win for us, as we were playing for four points. We had a strong start with our movement. In the second period, we faced some challenges and conceded a goal, but in the third period, we pulled ourselves together, scored, and secured the victory.
**– Alexander Komarov was not on the roster. What was the reason for that?**
– We were playing with seven defensemen, and I needed Varlov on the ice for the penalty kill.
**– Arthur Faizov hasn’t played in the last few matches.**
– It’s because there are players performing better right now, plus he is still young.
**– [Sheldon Rempal](https://www.example.com/41744-sheldon-rempal) is playing his second game since returning, but the power play struggles continue. Do you have any ideas about what needs to change?**
– We understand the situation and recognize that we need to put in more effort with the power play.
**– It seemed like Alexander Zharovsky wasn’t performing well.**
– He’s a young player, and perhaps he made some unnecessary decisions before the game. It’s possible he was nervous in his first match back after the break. He’s a young guy facing challenges, and the important thing is for him to overcome them.
**– How did the break between games affect the team?**
– The break was necessary. We had a couple of days where the guys could rest both emotionally and physically. We worked well for a few days.
**– Vladimir Butuzov has been signed to a full contract. What do you see in him?**
– He’s a healthy player, skates well, and understands the game. I hope we can help him, and in turn, he can help us,** Kozlov’s comments were reported by the Salavat Yulaev press service.
