“When I joined Atlético, I knew I would be given the chance to grow and develop my potential. Last season was very beneficial for me personally. We fell short in a few areas that would have helped us win titles, but I came here to continue improving and assist the team.
This season, I aim to perform even better than in the last one; my focus on victories with this club outweighs my interest in the number of goals scored.
We have an outstanding team filled with top-level players. We need to keep enhancing certain aspects to remain competitive in all tournaments,” Álvarez stated in an interview with DAZN.
