“The story of Lokomotiv is very dear to me. I was part of the club’s system that year. I was close to being on that plane. It’s an emotional story. After Lokomotiv’s triumph in the Gagarin Cup, I immediately thought: ‘Yaroslavl deserves this. Those guys who are now in heaven earned this.’ This victory is also for them. If not for the tragedy, that team would have surely won the Gagarin Cup. They had a very strong roster. For me, Lokomotiv is not just a name; it is a piece of my heart,” Vorobyev told RIA Novosti Sport.
