Ellie Kildunne, the Rugby World Cup champion, will lend her voice to Heathrow Airport this Christmas.
The west London airport announced that the messages from the 26-year-old England player will be broadcast over its public address system throughout the holiday season, sharing her sentiment that “the world feels a little brighter at Christmas.”
Reflecting on the significance of Christmas for her, Kildunne expressed, “It’s a time for celebration, and I’m eager to commemorate what a remarkable year it has been.”
Heathrow is gearing up for its most bustling holiday season yet, with projections indicating that over seven million travelers will pass through its four terminals in December.
Kildunne also mentioned that this season is about “reconnecting, recharging, and cherishing what truly matters.”
“I’m thrilled to take part in the celebrations at Heathrow this year – whether it’s passengers reuniting with their families or boarding their holiday flights, I’ll be on the announcements spreading festive joy for everyone.”
Daniel Edwards, the director of services at Heathrow, stated, “The holiday season is particularly special at Heathrow, as countless passengers come together with family and embark on their festive travel.
“By collaborating with Ellie as our first-ever voice of Britain, we’re introducing a distinctive seasonal element to the airport experience, aiming to spread joy and help travelers embrace the Christmas spirit as soon as they arrive at Heathrow.”
