A 40-year-old man has died after being stabbed in a flat located in north-west London, prompting the Metropolitan Police to initiate a murder investigation.

Emergency services responded to reports at Tollgate House on Tollgate Gardens in Maida Vale around 21:40 GMT on Friday evening.

The victim received immediate medical attention at the scene for his stab injuries before being transported to the hospital, where he passed away. Authorities have not made any arrests at this time.

Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Denby stated that investigators are focused on “determining the complete details surrounding this incident,” and multiple police cordons have been established in the area.

“My condolences go out to the family of the victim during this exceedingly challenging time,” he expressed. Specialist officers are providing them with support.

Detective Chief Inspector Denby urged anyone who may possess mobile or dash cam recordings from the vicinity during the time of the stabbing to contact the police at 101.
