A 69-year-old woman has been accused of murdering another woman, who was discovered with fatal stab wounds in her residence in Camden, north London.

Jennifer Abbott, who also went by the name Sarah Steinberg, was found deceased by her niece and neighbors at her Mornington Place home on June 13. Witnesses reported that she had been bound with tape over her mouth.

Nancy Pexton, residing on Gloucester Place in Westminster, has been charged with the murder and is scheduled to appear later today at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court, as stated by the Metropolitan Police.

Detectives have indicated that the death of the 69-year-old might be connected to a diamond-encrusted Rolex watch believed to have gone missing from the victim’s home.

A post-mortem examination determined that Ms. Abbott succumbed to injuries from sharp force trauma.

The police department has confirmed that her family has been notified and is receiving assistance from specialized officers.

According to the Met, Ms. Abbott was well-liked within her community.

She was frequently seen walking her corgi in the Camden neighborhood, where she was last observed on June 10, just three days before her body was discovered.

One neighbor, who chose to remain anonymous, described Ms. Abbott as “mysterious, very smart and intelligent.”

“We would often chat on the street. I used to accompany her around the block while she walked her dog,” they shared.

“She had a diverse range of experiences in her life. She was a doctor but also ventured into acting and directing in America. I found one of her directed films on YouTube and watched an interview featuring her in Los Angeles.

“She truly was a character; she had a lovely personality,” the neighbor remarked.
