Lewis Capaldi has revealed plans for a tour across the UK and Ireland, following his heartfelt return to the stage at Glastonbury.

The singer from Scotland, who lives with Tourette’s syndrome, made a notable appearance at the festival in 2023, where he faced difficulties with his voice and experienced noticeable tics.

After taking a two-year hiatus to focus on his mental well-being, Capaldi is now scheduled to perform shows in September at various locations, including Sheffield, Aberdeen, Glasgow, London, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Cardiff, and Dublin.

At 28 years old and hailing from Bathgate in West Lothian, he announced that these arena performances would be his sole European dates for the year.

Pre-sale tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, July 8, with general sales commencing at 09:00 on Thursday, July 10.

His previous performance on the Pyramid Stage was fraught with challenges and deep emotion, as the audience came together to support him in finishing his final song with an outpouring of encouragement.

Just a few days later, Capaldi shared that he would be stepping back from public life to focus on “getting his physical and mental health in order” and to process the effects of his Tourette’s diagnosis.

On Friday, however, it was announced that he would fill the previously unannounced “TBA” slot at Glastonbury’s main stage, prompting a massive cheer from the crowd when his name appeared on the video screen.

Walking onto the stage, Capaldi took a moment to soak in the atmosphere and raised a peace sign to the audience.

“Second time’s a charm on this one,” he remarked to the fans during his performance, expressing his desire to complete what was left unfinished during his last appearance.

The brief set went smoothly and included the debut live performance of his new single, “Survive,” which was launched on Friday and speaks to his journey in overcoming personal battles.
