Following a fire at an apartment in east London, eleven individuals have been hospitalized.

Approximately 60 firefighters responded to the incident on Cornwall Avenue in Bethnal Green just before midnight Wednesday, successfully containing the flames by 1:05 AM BST on Thursday.

The London Ambulance Service provided medical assistance to 17 people at the site, with 11 requiring transport to the hospital.

The London Fire Brigade, which deployed teams from Shadwell, Shoreditch, Bethnal Green, and Poplar, is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
