Hamilton Issues Apology to Team and Fans After Disappointing Qualifying Performance

Seven-time world champion and Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton has expressed his apologies to both his team and fans after finishing in 16th place during the qualifying round for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

“I don’t believe there are adequate words to convey how sorry I am to the fans and the team.

Am I looking forward to the 2026 season? Right now, I’m not thinking that far ahead. Do I have any plans for the winter break? Not at the moment. I’m just focused on living in the present,” Hamilton stated, as reported by Sportskeeda.

It’s worth noting that the pole position for the qualifying session was secured by four-time and reigning world champion Max Verstappen from Red Bull, while Lando Norris from McLaren, the championship leader, took second place.
