Grigoryan: New Signings Enhance Lokomotiv, But Key Milestone is Karpuakas Return

Well-known Russian coach Alexander Grigoryan shared his thoughts on the performance of the newcomers at Moscow’s Lokomotiv, while also praising the play of the midfielder Artem Karpukas.

“The new signings at Lokomotiv have integrated well, but the most important news for the team is the return of our curly-haired player, Artem Karpukas. Last season, he seemed to disappear from the scene; we hardly saw him. Now we are witnessing his top form again. He is one of the most gifted central midfielders out there. If he maintains his current level, alongside the newcomers, Lokomotiv will boast a very formidable squad,” Grigoryan stated during his appearance on Match TV.

In the opening match of the Russian Premier League, Moscow’s Lokomotiv achieved a commanding victory over Sochi, winning 3-0. The goals were scored by two of the club’s new additions: Alexander Rudenko and Zelimkhan Bakayev.
