French Forward Alexandre Texier Signs Two-Year Contract Extension with Montreal Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens have reached an agreement to extend their contract with French forward **Alexander Texier** for two more years, with a cap hit of $2.5 million. This information was reported by the Canadian club’s press service.

This season, Texier has played 25 games for the Montreal Canadiens, scoring seven goals and providing nine assists. Prior to joining the Canadiens on November 23, the forward recorded one assist in eight games with the St. Louis Blues this season.

Since making his NHL debut in the 2018-2019 season, Texier has accumulated 107 points (47 goals and 60 assists) along with 102 penalty minutes in 265 NHL games throughout his career. He was selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the second round of the 2017 NHL Draft, being the 45th overall pick.
