Former Spartak Player Ternavsky Identifies Key Position Needing Reinforcement This Winter

Former defender of Moscow’s Spartak, **Vladislav Ternavsky**, has identified a position that needs strengthening in the team during the winter transfer window.

“Spartak could benefit from bolstering their defense in the upcoming winter transfer window, as they have been conceding goals. For instance, Baltiка has a strong defensive record, and everything seems fine there. In contrast, Spartak often allows one or two goals. Romanцев always emphasized: ‘If we play to keep a clean sheet, we can score one or two.’ Currently, the defense is the team’s weak point,” Ternavsky mentioned in a conversation with Championship correspondent Alexander Ershov.

At the beginning of the season, Spartak brought in three defenders. They acquired Cameroonian Christopher Wu from Rennes, Ghana national team player Alexander Djiku from Fenerbahçe, and defender Ilya Samoshnikov from Lokomotiv. Defender Srдjan Babich is still recovering from a knee ligament injury.
