The former Russian ice dance pair, **Ekaterina Geynish and Dmitry Chigirev**, who competed for Uzbekistan, has separated. This information was reported by TASS, citing a source.

“The pair of Geynish and Chigirev has split. The partner has ended his career, while Ekaterina intends to continue skating,” TASS quoted the source.

Earlier, it was revealed that Chigirev had been introduced as a coach on the social media pages of the figure skating school run by Irina Smirnova. There has been no official announcement from Chigirev regarding his retirement.

Ekaterina Geynish and Dmitry Chigirev began their partnership in 2022 and made their international debut representing Uzbekistan in the 2024/25 season. They achieved notable success as silver medalists at the Skate Canada Grand Prix (2024) and winners of the Winter Asian Games (2025).
