Fire in Brixton Sparks Underground Station Closure and Major Emergency Response

A blaze has erupted in a structure on Electric Avenue in Brixton, located in south London, leading to the shutdown of Brixton Underground station.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) reported that a storage space at the back of a multi-purpose building is engulfed in flames, with approximately 70 firefighters currently on the site.

Authorities have implemented road closures and are advising the public to steer clear of the area.

The LFB was notified of the fire shortly after 09:40 BST, and crews from Brixton, Peckham, Lambeth, West Norwood, and nearby fire stations were dispatched to address the situation.
