Father of Four Fatally Stabbed in Lewisham; Suspect Arrested and Charged with Murder

A man has been accused of murder following the stabbing of a 27-year-old father in south-east London.

Earl Junior Strachan, 33, who has no permanent address, was apprehended in Scotland and subsequently charged with murder and possession of a knife two days later on October 23, according to the Metropolitan Police. He is scheduled to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

Sanchini Thompson was attacked with a knife on October 15 on Rushey Green in Lewisham, with authorities alerted shortly after 3:00 AM BST. He received emergency treatment for his injuries at the scene but tragically succumbed to his wounds in the hospital, the police reported.

Mr. Thompson’s family remembered him as a “dedicated father” to his four-year-old daughter, describing him as a “beacon of kindness” and “the heartbeat of his family.”

The investigation into Mr. Thompson’s death is still underway, the Metropolitan Police stated.
