Expert Analyzes Nets Decision to Draft Two Guards, Casting Doubt on Demin as Primary Point Guard

North American journalist and expert **Adam Finkelstein** has shared his thoughts on the Brooklyn Nets’ decision to draft two point guards in the 2025 NBA Draft: Russian player **Yegor Dyomin** and French player **Nolan Traore**.

“I have a lot of faith in the Brooklyn management. There are always factors we aren’t privy to, whether it’s insider information, medical details, or an understanding of their own resources. Brooklyn has consistently had a well-regarded player development program, which helped speed up their rebuild before they even signed Kevin Durant, and later James Harden and Kyrie Irving. However, that narrative did not conclude on a high note.

If the team believes they can improve the shooting skills of Dyomin and Traore, then they’ll have playmakers and point guards across all positions on the court. I’d also like to point out that drafting Traore might indicate that the Nets do not view Yegor Dyomin as their primary point guard,” the expert stated on CBS Sports.
