Former French national team player **Floran Sinama-Pongolle**, who played for “Rostov,” shared his memories about the club’s former coach, **Miodrag Božović**.
“Miodrag occupied a unique space between being a friend and a coach for us. He was very close to the players and had a knack for balancing those relationships. Božović brought a positive confidence to the team. I recall a funny incident involving him. We had a terrible home loss, but it was my birthday, and a party had already been organized by my wife. Despite the defeat, the whole team went there. Someone decided to post pictures from the party where you could see Gatskan, Dzyuba, and the others enjoying drinks. The next day, those photos made it to the media. Božović came to us and said: ‘Your performance was absolutely awful, yet you guys celebrated after the loss. But you know what? You’re a real team! You lost together and drank together.’ None of us expected that reaction. When a coach responds in such a way, it boosts your confidence and spreads positivity. That’s why it turned out to be an excellent season for us,” Sinama-Pongolle shared in an interview with **Championat** reporters Maria Kutsubaeva and Yegor Kabak.
