Como FC Parts Ways with Dele Alli Amidst Quest for Playing Time

The Italian football club Como has announced the termination of its contract with English midfielder Dele Alli.

“Dele is seeking regular playing time, and since he wasn’t part of the club’s immediate plans, both parties felt it was the right decision to part ways before the transfer window closed. The club thanks Dele for his time at Como and wishes him all the best for the future,” reads the statement on the club’s official website.

Dele Alli made only one appearance for Como. In the 29th round of Serie A for the 2024/2025 season, he was substituted in during the 81st minute and received a straight red card in the 90+1 minute. He hasn’t been on the field since and has not made the squad in the new season.
