Bystrov Evaluates Stankovics Tenure at Spartak: A Missed Opportunity?

Former Russian footballer **Vladimir Bystrov** shared his thoughts on **Dejan Savičević**’s time at Moscow’s Spartak. The Serbian coach was in charge of the red-and-whites from July 1, 2024, to November 11, 2025.

“He was given one of the strongest squads that Spartak has had in recent years—really, when you look at the signings. Moreover, the players who joined were brought in with his approval. However, he failed to establish an effective team strategy and, most importantly, couldn’t secure a position at the top to prevent his dismissal.

He struggled with his comments and conduct, and those were his main shortcomings. They could have waited another year, but honestly, I doubt it would have improved things,” Bystrov stated in a recent episode of the YouTube channel “Oh, Native Football!”
