Czech forward Patrik Schick opened the scoring in the 13th minute, and in the stoppage time of the first half, Argentine midfielder Emiliano Buendía netted the second goal for Leverkusen. It’s worth noting that another goal by the hosts was disallowed in the first half due to an offside.
