Anna Blinkova Claims Her First WTA Title Since 2022 in China

Russian tennis player Anna Blinkova, currently ranked 95th in the world, has captured her first title since 2022. On November 2, she triumphed at the WTA-250 tournament in Jiujiang, China. In the final, Blinkova defeated Austria’s Lilly Tagger, who is ranked 235th, with a score of 6-3, 6-3.

It’s worth noting that in 2022, Blinkova won the WTA-250 tournament in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, where she overcame Italian player Jasmine Paolini in a three-set match, finishing 6-2, 3-6, 6-2.

This marks the second title of Blinkova’s career. As a result of her success at the WTA-250 tournament in Jiujiang, she will move into the top 70 of the world rankings, securing her a place in the main draw of the 2026 Australian Open.
