Renowned coach of Russia, **Alexey Mishin**, has stated that two-time Olympic champion **[Evgeni Plushenko](https://example.com)** is an exceptional figure in the world of figure skating. He emphasized that discussions about whether Plushenko is a good coach or not are pointless.
“Evgeni Plushenko is a coach. Emil Gilels is a pianist. Yuri Gagarin is a pilot. These individuals represent the forefront of contemporary understanding in sports, science, and art. He is an excellent and outstanding coach. He has his own school and is a prominent personality in both global and Russian figure skating. He is akin to Yuri Gagarin and Valentina Tereshkova. To even start debating if he is a good or bad coach is rather disrespectful towards him,” Mishin stated, as reported by RTVI.
This off-season has seen several controversies surrounding the “Angels of Plushenko” academy. For instance, Elena Kostyleva’s mother previously claimed that her daughter suffered seven injuries during 15 months of training at the academy and attributed these issues to the coach.
