Ahmats Samorodov: New Champion in RPL Signals Rising League Standards

Forward of Grozny’s “Akhmat,” Maksim Samorodov, shared his thoughts on FC Krasnodar’s championship win in the current season of the Russian Premier League.

“It’s a positive development for our league that the champion has changed. We have a new leader emerging, which makes the competition more exciting for next year. Of course, I hope we stay in the Premier League. The level of the RPL is on the rise.

For six consecutive years, there was one champion. This season, many expected Zenit to claim the title again. But Krasnodar stepped up. Congratulations to them on their victory,” Samorodov remarked in an interview with Elvira Bagirova from “Championat.”

After 30 rounds in the RPL, “Akhmat” finished in 14th place on the league table, entering the playoff zone for a chance to maintain its position in the top division of the country.
