The head coach of Zenit, **[Sergej Semak](https://zenit.ru)**, commented on the performance of the Nizhny Novgorod team following their 2-0 victory against Pari Nizhny Novgorod in the 16th round of the Mir RPL.

**”Can you please tell us how challenging it was to motivate your team against an opponent that has had a series of disappointing matches recently?”**
**— In my opinion, Pari Nizhny Novgorod does have a decent series. In their last three home games, they conceded only one goal; they had two draws and a loss that could have been avoided. They created a fair number of opportunities as well — I’m referring to their home match against Akron. Furthermore, all the points they’ve earned have come from home games. Aside from their match against Krasnodar, Pari Nizhny Novgorod performs relatively well at home. Today, they also played at a good level. So, I believe the need for motivation always exists. We have to approach every game with full commitment. Only then can we hope for a positive outcome,”** said Semak, as reported on the club’s official website.

After 16 matches in the Russian championship, the Nizhny Novgorod team has gathered eight points, placing them in 16th position. Meanwhile, the blue-white-blue team has earned 33 points, sitting at the top of the standings.
