Paula Badosa had to cut her 2025 season short after participating in a prestigious tournament in Beijing, China, where she withdrew from her third-round match. Throughout the season, she struggled with various injuries. Her best performance in 2025 was reaching the semifinals at the Australian Open, where she lost to Belarusian player Aryna Sabalenka.

Over her career, Badosa has claimed four WTA titles in singles and achieved the rank of world number two in 2022. She recently celebrated her 28th birthday.
