New Timetable Arrives: South Eastern Railway Enhances Services for Commuters with 29 Additional Trains Starting December 14

Passengers travelling by rail between London and the coastal areas of Kent and East Sussex are advised to verify their journeys, as a new timetable is set to be implemented.

South Eastern Railway will roll out these updates on December 14th.

The changes will introduce 29 additional services on the high-speed route connecting St Pancras International to Faversham.

The operator is adding three new trains to its fleet, and certain routes will see an increase in the number of carriages.

Commuter routes that will benefit from this enhancement include those between Hastings and Charing Cross and Cannon Street, as well as from Dartford and Gravesend to Victoria.

Additionally, peak-hour services from Maidstone East and Ashford to London will receive improvements.

The new trains are Class 377 units, which will expand the operator’s fleet to a total of 36.

Scott Brightwell of South Eastern Railway stated, “This upcoming timetable adjustment addresses the growing demand by enhancing services where necessary and providing more space for added comfort during peak times.

“Customers can now review their revised services, as journey planners have been updated online, and comprehensive information about the changes is available on our website.”
