Foreign Players in Russia Should Appreciate the Unique Support, Says Ivan Ignatiev

Forward of FC Orenburg, **[Ivan Ignatev](https://www.example.com/tags/28205-ivan-ignatev/)**, who has previously played in Serbia, Armenia, and Algeria, has expressed that Russian expatriates abroad are treated with less warmth compared to foreign players in the Russian Premier League (RPL).

**— Aside from football, what experiences have you gained during your time playing abroad?**
— I can confidently say that the level of treatment towards foreigners in Russia is on an entirely different, almost exceptional level. In other countries, we do not experience such reception, which is why I believe that foreigners coming here should value it. The attitude isn’t exactly cold, but when it comes to daily life, there is a sense of indifference. There, you have to handle everything on your own, like an adult. While this is correct in some ways, it’s important to note that immigrants in Russia receive substantial assistance, — Ignatev shared in his conversation with Championship correspondent Alexander Yershov.

It’s worth noting that in addition to FC Orenburg, the 26-year-old Ignatev has also represented FC Sochi, Lokomotiv Moscow, Krylia Sovetov, Rubin Kazan, and FC Krasnodar during his career in Russia.
