Kaliningrad’s “Baltika,” under the guidance of coach Andrei Talalaev, has experienced its first defeat in the 2025/2026 season of the Russian Premier League (RPL). On September 28, in the tenth round of the Russian Championship, Baltika lost to CSKA with a score of 0:1, conceding a goal from Igor Diveyev during stoppage time.
In their previous nine matches in the current RPL season, Talalaev’s squad had remained unbeaten, achieving four victories and five draws. Following the loss to CSKA, Baltika sits in fifth place in the league standings with a total of 17 points.
In contrast, the team has encountered difficulties in the Fonbet Russian Cup, suffering three defeats in four matches during the group stage.
In the next round of the RPL on October 5, Baltika will host Dynamo from Makhachkala.
