The 11th-ranked tennis player in the world, Danish athlete Holger Rune, shared his thoughts about the Spanish team for the 2025 Davis Cup. The match between Spain and Denmark is set to take place in Marbella, Spain, from September 13 to 14.

“It’s clear that the Spanish team remains very strong even without Carlos Alcaraz and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. That definitely gives them an advantage. Nonetheless, their team is still formidable. They have one player in the top 50 and many others in the top 100,” Rune said, as reported by the tournament’s press service.

The Davis Cup is the largest international team competition in men’s tennis. It has been held annually since 1900 and has been under the auspices of the International Tennis Federation since 1979.
