Referee Decisions and Lukas Foul Trouble: Slovenias Omic on Loss to Germany in EuroBasket Quarterfinals

Slovenia’s center, **Alen Omic**, shared his thoughts on the officiating during the quarterfinal game of the 2025 European Basketball Championship against Germany, which ended with a score of 91-99.

“Our top player in the EuroBasket [Luka Dončić] was not adequately protected. He was called for three fouls within the first 10-15 minutes. What is that? He is the best player in the tournament, and fans come to see him play. It’s impossible to compete under such circumstances. This is a key reason for our defeat. Germany scored 90 points, with 40 of those coming from free throws. You can do the math yourself,” Omic stated at the press conference.

Germany will face Finland in the semifinals.
