Oasis Honors Diogo Jota at Their First Concert in 16 Years

The British rock band Oasis held their first concert in 16 years, honoring the memory of Liverpool striker and Portugal national team player Diogo Jota, who tragically lost his life in a car accident in Spain.

Band members, brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, dedicated a song titled “Live Forever” to Jota. It’s worth mentioning that they are fans of Manchester City.

In the accident, Jota’s brother, Andre Silva, also lost his life.

The 28-year-old footballer joined Liverpool from Wolverhampton in September 2020. During his time with the club, he played 182 matches across all competitions, scoring 65 goals and providing 26 assists. While with the Merseyside club, Jota secured the Premier League title, the FA Cup, and two EFL Cups. Additionally, with the Portugal national team, he was a two-time winner of the Nations League.
