Kolyvanov: Safonov Should Stay at PSG Despite Donnarummas Dominance

Renowned Russian expert **Igor Kolyvanov** shared his thoughts on the competition between PSG goalkeepers **Matvei Safonov** and **Gianluigi Donnarumma**. According to Kolyvanov, there’s no reason for Safonov to leave PSG in the near future.

“Right now, it’s pointless for Safonov to take a risk under Donnarumma. Matvei has already secured four trophies, and next season he could add three more. It might be wise to bide his time for a year before considering a departure from PSG (laughs). Of course, after being the main goalkeeper at Krasnodar, it’s understandable that he wouldn’t want to spend an entire year on the bench.

If I were in Safonov’s position, I wouldn’t move to Turkish club Galatasaray. As for Bournemouth, transferring there from PSG would be a step down since they are a mid-table Premier League team. Matvei is in the spotlight at PSG, and there are consistent trophies to compete for. It’s possible he’ll get more playing time. If more appealing offers came along, he might consider them,” Kolyvanov remarked in an interview with Championship correspondent Vladislav Kruglov.
