£400,000 Suitcase Stash: Man Charged with Money Laundering After Heathrow Arrest

A man has been accused of money laundering after authorities discovered £400,000 in a suitcase at Heathrow Airport.

The individual, an Austrian citizen, was apprehended by Border Force officials on Wednesday while attempting to board a flight to Turkey, according to the National Crime Agency (NCA).

Alongside the suitcase, nearly 11,000 Euros (approximately £9,150) were also located in a carry-on backpack, which was confiscated by the agency.

The man is scheduled to appear in Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
