Millenium Bridge

\"Millenium

Back in 2000, I wasn’t sure about this post-modern architectural fantasia when it was foisted onto Old Father Thames.

Now, after walking over it numerous times to Tate Modern at one end and back to St Pauls at the other end, it feels likes it’s been absorbed into the affections of Londoners as part of the weft and weave of our great metropolis.

Maybe because it’s a pedestrian bridge, the only traffic-free route across the river. As you walk over it, there’s a feeling of being exposed to the elements – light, wind, water – that you rarely experience within London.
