Crystal Palace supporters partied long into the evening after their club achieved a remarkable FA Cup victory against Manchester City on Saturday.

The South London team triumphed 1-0, claiming their first significant trophy in their history.

Eberechi Eze scored the decisive goal in the 16th minute, igniting scenes of jubilation among fans throughout the capital and beyond when the final whistle blew.

“It’s an unforgettable day,” one Wembley attendee shared with BBC London. “I’ve backed Palace for 46 years, and I never imagined I’d witness this moment.”

“Truly the greatest day of my sporting existence.”

“Unbelievable,” another fan chimed in. “I was here 35 years ago when we lost the cup final to Manchester United. Now, after clinching the victory—it’s surreal—an immensely emotional day.”

Despite Manchester City controlling the ball for much of the game, Oliver Glasner’s squad held firm, with goalkeeper Dean Henderson making pivotal saves against Erling Haaland, Josko Gvardiol, and Jeremy Doku in the first half, followed by a crucial stop from Claudio Echeverri post-interval.

As the club lifted its first major trophy in 120 years of professional football, tears of happiness filled the stands.

“I can hardly believe this—it’s extraordinary, a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” exclaimed a fan in the audience.

“When we had the opportunity to strike, we capitalized on it,” another said.

“I still can’t wrap my head around winning this—absolutely remarkable.”

Outside the stadium, fans tuning in via television and radio erupted in celebration as the victory was confirmed.

At Croydon’s Boxpark, supporters watching on the large screen threw their drinks into the air when the final whistle sounded.

“That was incredible. I love this team, and I adore this town,” exclaimed one Croydon fan.

“We were in tears. But I’m 65 now, so if I shed some tears, so be it.”

Another remarked, “Tears I didn’t know I had came pouring out.”

“If we never win another game again, it won’t matter to me. I’m overjoyed,” declared a third supporter.

The excitement is set to continue as the Eagles have announced their official winners’ celebration will be held on May 26.
