Junior Team of Russia Triumphs Over Student League Squad in Future Cup Clash

In Novosibirsk, at the “Sibir Arena” stadium, a match took place as part of the Future Cup tournament between the junior national team of Russia and the team from the Student Hockey League (SHL). The junior Russian team claimed victory with a score of 5-3.

Stepan Kuryachenkov, a forward for the junior team, made a remarkable impact by scoring a hat-trick. The winning goal was netted by Nikita Gromakov. For the student team, Alexander Pogodin and Stepan Steshenko, who scored twice, found the back of the net.

From May 15 to May 18, Novosibirsk is hosting an international ice hockey tournament for youth and junior teams—the Future Cup. Four teams are participating in the competition: the youth and junior national teams of Russia, the youth national team of Belarus, and the team from the Student Hockey League (SHL).
