Heartbroken Family Remembers Funny, Kind Teen Stab Victim Maliki Sharma Amid Community Support

The relatives of a teenager fatally stabbed in west London have paid heartfelt homage to the “hilarious, compassionate, caring, and wonderful” young man.

Maliki Sharma passed away in the hospital after sustaining numerous stab wounds during an assault on Victoria Road in Feltham on Monday afternoon.

A family friend issued a statement on their behalf, describing the 18-year-old as a “wonderful boy” who had a close bond with his mother and older brother.

“It’s just heartbreaking; it’s truly heartbreaking,” he expressed. “He was such a humorous, kind, caring, and delightful young man, and he had an entire future before him.”

Maliki was enrolled at West Thames College, pursuing training to become an electrician.

According to the family acquaintance, “He aspired to take that path—establish a trade and start his own business to support his mother; that’s what he always dreamed of.”

He further remarked, “He really was such a wonderful boy. He had a cheeky sense of humor.”

A crowdfunding page has been created to assist his family in navigating their grief and to help cover funeral expenses. By Thursday evening, it had amassed over £12,000 in contributions.

“It’s incredible how people have come together,” the family friend remarked. “The generosity is overwhelming, and it really warms the heart.”

He noted that Maliki’s mother “held her boys very closely” and is devastated by the tragedy.

“She is truly remarkable; her entire life revolves around her sons. I can’t fathom how she will manage this loss,” he shared.

Earlier this week, two 16-year-old boys were detained on suspicion of murder and carrying an offensive weapon in relation to the case.

They have since been released on bail as investigations continue.
