New Leader at Aston Martin Hires Staffer to Monitor Factory Operations – Autoracer

The newly appointed head of Aston Martin, Adrian Newey, has brought on a dedicated staff member to analyze all activities taking place at the team’s factory, according to Autoracer.

The source indicates that this move is connected to recent layoffs within the team, which include the departure of aerodynamics director Eric Blandin and, notably, several second- and third-tier engineers who are now heading to rival teams.

Reportedly, one of the reasons Newey would like to have former Red Bull race engineer Gianpiero Lambiasi on the team is due to these changes.

It’s worth noting that Newey took the helm of Aston Martin ahead of the upcoming 2026 season.
