Life Itself is Happiness: Alexander Bublik Shares His Views

The 11th-ranked tennis player in the world, Kazakhstan’s Aleksandr Bublik, shared his perspective on what happiness means to him.

– A year ago, you mentioned breaking into the top 20 by saying, ‘Honestly, I don’t care. I think the most important thing is to be happy and enjoy what I do.’ What does happiness mean to you now?
– To me, happiness is life itself. It’s about being with my family, friends, and those I love, and who love me in return. It’s engaging in the activities that bring me joy.

– However, life also includes challenging moments.
– Without the tough times, we wouldn’t appreciate the good ones. For me, happiness is simply about living.

– So, do you feel happy 24/7?
– Yes, mostly. But I don’t attach too much significance to that word. One day you might feel happy, and the next day something terrible could happen, changing that.

Overall, I derive joy from both the good and the bad. Even during the most challenging moments this year, there was pleasure to be found. I still understood what I was doing and why. I wasn’t happy with the outcomes, but I was content with life, — Bublik’s words were reported by Sports.
