A 31-year-old woman, identified by police as Jamelatu Tsiwah, was discovered deceased in a residence in Croydon, South London on Monday.
Authorities, including police and paramedics, responded to a call regarding an unresponsive female at a location on Bensham Lane, but she was declared dead at the scene.
An autopsy revealed that her death was due to neck compression.
Larry Nimoh, a 21-year-old, has been charged with both murder and attempted murder and is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court later today, according to the Metropolitan Police.
Additionally, the police reported that another 21-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail as investigations continue.
Detective Chief Inspector Alex Gammampila expressed a desire to hear from anyone who was present on Bensham Road on Monday between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM GMT.
He encouraged anyone who might have witnessed anything unusual or seen someone fleeing the scene on Bensham Lane to come forward.
