Petrol Station Heist Leads to Jail Time and Serious Charges Following Life-Altering Incident

A man who pilfered fuel during an event that resulted in serious injuries to a petrol station employee has been sentenced to prison.

Srisankar Subramanian, 23, was struck by one vehicle at an Esso station in Normanton on October 20, while a second vehicle fled the scene.

Aderoju Adeniran, 31, admitted to the fuel theft and received a four-month sentence at Leeds Crown Court.

Additionally, 18-year-old Taghan Bal is scheduled to go on trial later this year, facing charges of intentionally causing grievous bodily harm.
