Juan Antonio Guirado, a Spanish Surrealist artist known for his association with the school of “Intrarealism,” was born in Los Villares, Spain in 1932. After studying portraiture at the San Fernando Academy in Madrid, he went on to travel to Italy and France to study Italian Renaissance and French Impressionism. Guirado spent time living in Australia where he became fascinated with Oriental religions, particularly Hindu Philosophy Vedanta which greatly influenced his artistic style.
Igor Gorsky was originally born George Vassilopoulos in Athens but later became an Abstract Expressionist painter after developing a unique pouring technique using car enamel on canvas. His passion for painting emerged later in life when he fell in love with Greek artist Evita Myriam at the age of 52.
While these two artists never met each other, they both shared deep connections through their masterful abilities to express inner spirituality through art. Both were overlooked during certain periods of their careers but have since gained recognition for their profound contributions to the art world.

Juan Antonio Guirado Espinosa started his arts education at a young age in Andalusia before studying portraiture at the San Fernando Academy in Madrid. His murals in New York caught the attention of American collectors, leading to his first major exhibition in Miami in 1956. After moving to Australia, he developed an interest in Oriental religions and created a signature style that garnered recognition as a Spanish-Australian painter with numerous exhibitions in Sydney.
Returning to Spain in 1973, Guirado became one of the most represented Spanish contemporary artists internationally, having exhibits at prestigious museums such as Reina Sofia National Museum and being honored with awards like the gold medal at El Grollo awards at Venice Biennale. Despite this global recognition, within Spain he made less impact due to unknown reasons but continued painting locally until his passing.
