Melnikov Shares His Thoughts on Upcoming Competition at Next Grand Prix Stage

Russian figure skater **Alexander Melnikov**, who secured a bronze medal at the Grand Prix in Krasnoyarsk, shared his thoughts on the upcoming competition and whether he feels anxious about the rivalry in the next stage of the series.

“I believe my nerves have played a role; I haven’t fully managed to control them. After this Grand Prix event, I will feel more at ease as I experience each competition with decreasing anxiety, realizing that it’s not as critical as it seems.

My next competition is in Kazan. I’m familiar with all the skaters there and know well who is competing and how they perform. This is sports, and competition is part of it; the key is to focus on executing my own routine,” Melnikov conveyed to Championship correspondent Mara Kravchenko.

Melnikov finished third at the Grand Prix event in Russia, scoring 241.90 points across two programs.
