Those Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides Through London Parks Are Back For Winter

Woah, boy! A festive season of horse rides via two of London’s prettiest parks is occurring once more this winter.

From late November via to the beginning of January, you may sit behind a classic carriage (or brake, to be actual), and benefit from the surroundings of both Richmond Park of Bushy Park — pulled by a few good-looking Shire horses.

The Richmond Park expertise (25 November 2023-1 January 2024) contains a 75-minute trip via the park with bells a-tinkling, plus sloe gin and mince pies. You get a blanket to snuggle beneath, too. (Alas, we will not promise the crisp, snowy day as pictured on the high of this text.) Carriages price £450 to rent, and carry teams of as much as six.

The Bushy Park rides (16-26 December 2023) are a shorter, 25-minute jaunt — and likewise embrace festive refreshments. It is £15 per individual for this one, and a greater guess if there is not a complete bunch of you.

The rides make for a particular wintry/Christmassy escapade, and at time of writing there’s even availability for rides on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Yr’s Eve and New Yr’s Day.
