A reminder of what we have got to stay up for: improved accessibility together with wider doorways and walk-through carriages; air con; and a ten% improve in capability in comparison with present Piccadilly line inventory (which has been round since 1973, FYI).
So, when will we get to journey these beauties? TfL is anticipating them to be in service on the Piccadilly line in 2025. They might properly be rolled out onto the opposite deep-level strains (Bakerloo, Central and Waterloo & Metropolis) after that. Within the meantime, we’ll be gazing within the common path of Austria, with a glance of pining in our eyes.
